THE AFTERMATH
The baby's here, everyone's obsessed and meanwhile, mum's running on eleven minutes of sleep and playing a daily game of WHAT THE F*CK IS LEAKING NOW?
Welcome to the Shit Show, The Aftermath is a postnatal care package that's actually about the woman who's just given birth.
Think practical recovery essentials, soothing comforts, well-earned treats and an actual bell for summoning help. Because she's just delivered a human being, not signed up to do everything herself.
Contains no bounce-back bullshit and no more presents for the baby.
Just a bit of care for mum, because she's done something bloody enormous and deserves looking after too.
Product versions may be subject to change but will always be top quality and like for like.

Each pack makes 4–5 full baths or 8–10 sitz baths. Safe to share with your baby in the bath.
The Herbs and What They Do
• Witch Hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) — anti-inflammatory and astringent; reduces swelling and soothes bruised, tender perineal tissue
• Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale) — traditionally used to support tissue healing and soothe inflammation around stitches or tears
• Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) — natural styptic properties; supports healing of wounds and reduces discomfort
• Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) — anti-inflammatory and soothing; calms inflamed skin and settles the nervous system
• Plantain Leaf (Plantago major) — traditional wound-healing herb with cooling, anti-inflammatory properties
• Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi) — antimicrobial herb historically used to support urinary and perineal health
How to Use as a Sitz Bath
• Place the herbs in the provided muslin bag and tie closed.
• Steep the bag in approximately 200ml (½ cup) of boiling water for 5 minutes.
• Add the steeped herbs and liquid to a shallow basin with warm water, or directly to a sitz bath basin over the toilet.
* Soak for 15 - 20 minutes. Repeat up to twice daily.
• Pat dry gently afterwards. Apply perineal spray or balm if desired.
Other Ways to Use It
• Full bath — add steeped herbs to a warm bath. Each pack makes 4 - 5 full baths
• Peri bottle rinse — add the cooled herbal tea to your peri bottle for a soothing herbal rinse after every bathroom visit
• Compress — soak a maternity pad or cotton pad in the cooled tea and apply as a soothing compress. Freeze for extra cold relief (padsicles)
• Baby bath — the herbs are gentle enough to share a bath with your newborn, provided there are no known ingredient sensitivities
When Can I Start?
You can begin using the Herbal Bath Soak from day one after birth, once you feel ready for a bath or sitz bath. There is no waiting period. For the first week, aim for 2 - 3 sitz baths daily. As soreness reduces, once daily provides ongoing soothing support throughout the recovery period.
